Tekmark Global Solutions’ dedication to eradicating cancer continued at our 8th annual Charity Golf Outing on June 6, 2016. With proceeds being directed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the outing has contributed over $1,200,000 towards this cause. This year, 300+ golfers representing over 55 technology companies were in attendance, and combined with Executive Golf Committee members from First Data, Morgan Stanley, Bank of American, Ernst and Young, and Intel as well as a volunteer staff of over 30, this event knows no comparison.
Executive Chairs, Guy Chiarello, President of First Data and Guy DelGrande, CEO of Tekmark Global Solutions whose initiative began this event in 2008, joined golfers for varied hole contests and then led an inspirational luncheon program with speakers Dr. Roger Strair, top cancer doc from RU CINJ, Marty Lyons, former NY Jets defensive lineman and founder of the Marty Lyons foundation, and Petra Nemcova, supermodel and founder of the Happy Hearts Foundation. Golfers were awarded prizes and participated in silent and live auctions, and then an after event celebration was enjoyed by all, where an appearance by illusionist David Blaine was a treat!
Behind the scenes credit goes to Tracey DelGrande, COO of Tekmark Global Solutions, and her team of tireless volunteers who work pre-, during, and post- event to insure a successful combination of philanthropy and fun. Tekmark pride was paramount this day as we continue to demonstrate our commitment to giving back and using whatever power we have to help those in need.
