Tekmark’s CEO, Guy DelGrande, and CFO, Charles Miller, participated in the 39th Annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour in New York on May 1st with the charity partner, Marty Lyons Foundation. Marty Lyons Foundation (MLF) is a non-profit organization created to grant the wishes of terminally ill children ages 3 to 17. MLF is one of the only wish granting organizations that will grant a second wish to a child whose condition has worsened.
Mr. DelGrande and Mr. Miller biked 40 miles through the five boroughs of New York. This event is the largest charitable bike ride in the U.S.
To support the cause, Mr. DelGrande put together a fundraising page with a goal of $2,500. He more than exceeded his goal by raising $6,250 from supporters. He also pledged to match the donations, so with that he raised a total of $12,250. Mr. Miller also raised $2,975, totaling Tekmark’s money raised to $15,225.
